Sherborne

Sherborne has a population of 9,590 people. Dominated by its Abbey, Sherborne has many fine buildings of architectural note, including the 12th and 17th century Sherborne Castles.

The famous Sherborne School and Abbey date back to the 8th century, originally built by St Aldhelm.

Sherborne is also home to its own International College. More modern aspects of the town include the main line rail station on the London to Salisbury-Exeter route and a new Sainsbury's retail store.

Communications

Sherborne lies on the A30. It also has direct rail links to London and Exeter.
