Katie joined Dorset LEP as the interim Communications Manager in October 2023. With her depth and breadth of communications experience across a range of sectors, Katie will build on her understanding of local business, the not-for-profit sector and stakeholder engagement in support of Dorset LEP and its partners.
Katie’s early career focused on media relations and PR. Working for a Consumer PR Agency in London before moving to a PR agency in Auckland, New Zealand. On returning to the UK Katie worked for a Hampshire based PR agency before a move into the charity sector, taking up a role at The Royal National Lifeboat Institute. During her time at the RNLI Katie’s focus shifted to Internal Communications. Most recently working for Dorset-based family-owned brewery and pub company, Hall & Woodhouse, responsible for internal and corporate communications.
