Project Summary:

Local Growth Funding was awarded to West Dorset District Council who brought a disused listed building back into sustainable and productive economic use. The Shire Hall project has improved the accessibility to all of the whole building.

Outputs: 

• 2 apartments for rent
• Exhibition & law courts refurbished
• Café & shop                  

Outcomes:

• 5 new jobs
• 1 apprentice per annum
• 50 volunteer positions
• 32k visitors per annum
• 2 business starts
