Ferndown is the largest settlement in East Dorset with a population of 17,800 people.

With its large industrial estate area, Ferndown is a centre for employment with 10,400 employees there and around 1,220 firms (excluding the self-employed).

Its town centre houses a modern shopping complex, large playing fields and sports facilities, and internationally famous Ferndown Golf Club.


Ferndown is well positioned near to the A31 with good access links to Bournemouth and Poole. The town is very close to Bournemouth Airport.
