Governance structure

Our governance structure reflects the required strategic visioning, delivery and governance arrangements for Dorset LEP. In light of the LEP Review and anticipated changes to our role, we are currently evaluating areas of priority. Leadership across issues such as promotion of the place and strategic infrastructure will move to the local authorities, in line with government guidance. As such, we are revising our governance structure - the current status of each committee can be found on its webpage which can be accessed by the links below.

Our governance structure

A new governance structure was established in Autumn 2019, as below:

Governance Structure

Committees

Our committees and working groups are made up of Dorset LEP board members as well as industry professionals. Their role is to drive forward Dorset LEP strategic goals, making recommendations to the board as needed. Prior to our new structures decisions were made by the board and recorded in the board papers and minutes.

Read more about each committee, and read meeting papers, minutes and agendas, using the links below. The agenda and papers for meetings are placed on our website five working days in advance of the meeting and minutes are placed online ten working days after the meeting.
