Dorset Business Awards 2019

Dorset Business Awards 2019

Dorset LEP is proud to sponsor the Business Leader of the Year award at the annual Dorset Business Awards, which took place last night at the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC).

This award recognises industry leaders demonstrating exceptional vision and inspirational leadership, achieving measured and sustainable growth whilst making a significant contribution to the local economy.

We’re pleased to announce that Jamie Sergeant, Managing Director of Crowd, has won the 2019 Business Leader of the Year award!

Last night, Jamie accepted his award from Dorset LEP Chair, Jim Stewart, who had this to say: “Jamie has not only demonstrated vision and inspirational leadership in his business, but he is making a valuable contribution to his industry as well as positively impacting on the wider Dorset economy and its communities.”

This year’s finalists included Marianne Storey, from Dorset Mind, and Martin Edwards, from Julia’s House.

Jim Stewart said: “The quality of the nominees for this year’s award was extremely high. As judges, we were overwhelmed by the inspirational achievements of all three finalists who are each having a significant impact on those within and outside of their organisations.

“Whilst the variety and quality of each nomination made judging this category extremely challenging, it was a real privilege to read and hear first-hand about some of Dorset’s excellent business leaders.”
