Scale for Growth - Business Support

Scale for Growth - Business Support

Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership's Dorset Gateway and PKF Francis Clark Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors are joining forces to deliver an informative series of seminars aimed at scale-up businesses.

Scale-up businesses are on average more productive, innovative and create more high-quality jobs than less ambitious businesses.

The Scale-Up Institute's 2018 Scale-Up Review showed that there were more than 380 scale-up businesses in Dorset.

From initial idea to incorporation, growth and ultimately success, the journey you go on with your business will be shaped by the vision, aims and objectives of the founders and other stakeholders. Through this series of tailored workshops, our goal is to provide Dorset businesses with the tools they need to grow quickly and with maximum efficiency.

What is a scale-up?

A scale-up business is defined as: “an enterprise with average annualised growth in employees or in turnover greater than 20 per cent a year over a three-year period, and with 10 or more employees. Whilst we are particularly interested to hear from this type of business, we are also keen to discover and connect with those businesses who are heading towards becoming a scale-up business too.

Who should attend:

The event is suitable for business owners and managers who are working in, or looking to acquire businesses in a ‘scale up’ phase.

There are three separate fully-funded events being held across Dorset:
