Pioneering connectivity projects promoted on a global stage

Pioneering connectivity projects promoted on a global stage

The Department for International Trade (DIT) will host a UK Smart City Webinar on Wednesday 17 March to promote BCP Council’s Smart Place Programme.

Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) are pleased to be part of a pioneering programme to improve Dorset’s digital economy and inspire other counties in the UK to follow suit.

A previous news story, ‘Dorset to become a trailblazer in digital connectivity’ (posted in June 2020), set out our commitment of around £1.4 million in Local Growth Funding to two projects in Bournemouth which will lead a connectivity revolution and attract inward investment of up to £1 billion in digital technology.

The DIT UK Smart City Webinar Event invites sign up from investors who share Dorset’s passion for building the world’s most successful Smart Place ecosystem which can become a model for cities globally. BCP Council wants investors to attend who want both financial returns and to be associated with the considerable economic, social and environmental benefits that a smart ecosystem will bring.

The webinar event will be run both in the morning and afternoon to cater for various international markets which have shown great interest. The links for sign up are below:
