As we continue to invest in Dorset's bright future, we're investing in growing our team and recruiting to a range of roles across the organisation to help drive forward strategic priorities to support recovery as well as achieve our ambitious plans for Dorset.

Or business growth hub, Dorset Gateway, is focused on the delivery of a range of projects that to develop emerging strategic opportunities and operational challenges that will support the growth, resilience and productivity of Dorset’s business community. The available are:

Investment programme

An opportunity has also arisen for an outstanding candidate to join the team as a Programme Manager to oversee a caseload of capital projects, developing good partnership working externally and keeping project management systems up to date and fit for purpose. The post holder will also support subgroups of our board and other executive functions.

Careers education

As part of our increasing support for the skills agenda in Dorset, we’ve created a new role of Senior Enterprise Coordinator  (closes midnight, Sunday 9 August 2020) to ensure the best local careers and enterprise provision is available to schools in the area. This new role will act as a core link to existing provision while also developing initiatives locally and regionally.

We’re also recruiting for a Careers Hub Lead (closes midnight, Sunday 9 August) to implement the growth of Dorset Careers Hub, a clustered group of schools and colleges across Dorset, working with universities, other education and training providers, employers and careers professionals to ensure Gatsby Benchmarks are achieved and that careers outcomes are improved for all young people in the region. This post is available for up to 12 months on a fixed-term contract or secondment basis to provide maternity cover for an established member of staff.

Communications

We’re also seeking a placement student to join the team as Communications Coordinator (closes midnight, Sunday 26 July) to support a range of communications activities to promote and share key initiatives and activities, both internally and externally.
