National Careers Week 7 - 12 March 2022

Dorset LEP is pleased to be supporting National Careers Week 2022

National Careers Week takes place 7-12 March and is a celebration of careers guidance and free resources in education across the UK. The aim is to provide a focus for careers guidance activity at an important stage in the academic calendar to help support young people leaving education. 

Dorset Careers Hub is working with over 75 schools and colleges across Dorset to help young people progress into promising careers by joining the dots between school careers guidance and local businesses.

Through a range of local market & skills research, events and initiatives, including the Enterprise Advisers Network, Dorset Careers Hub shares information, resources and best practice, ideas and inspiration, to help young people in Dorset progress into promising careers and fulfil their potential. 

Throughout National Careers Week Dorset Careers Hub will be promoting a number of careers-focussed events and initiatives that it is involved in including:

Rebecca Davies, Head of Enterprise, Skills and Industry at Dorset LEP said: “Improving Careers options for our local young people is an important priority for Dorset LEP. We recognise that improving career outcomes plays a vital role in supporting the local economy and raising economic standards and that is why we are pleased to be supporting National Careers Week and showcasing some of our great work in this area.”
